Abstract

Brain transcriptome imputation leverages genotype-expression reference panels to build databases of genetically regulated gene expression. These models can be applied to PTSD GWAS to conduct transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS) to prioritize gene-trait associations (GTAs) with functional importance. Available TWAS models exhibit technical and methodological limitations, including limited expression data in diverse ancestries and extensive validation with measured (observed) expression.
