Abstract
AbstractAnalytical techniques of estimating total monoglycerides in industrial products and difficulties encountered in their estimation are critically discussed. A modification is suggested of a recently published procedure which combines the “Partition method” with the methods of Martin and of Brokawet al. A tentative method of determining total monoglycerides based on simultaneous isomerization and periodate oxidation is described.
