Abstract
This article describes the situation of the cancer at the elderly in France from a synthesis of various studies carried out by the French network of the registers of cancer, only source of information which is not soiled on the bias by selection. The cancer is especially a pathology of the old subject, 47 % of the cases of cancers arise at people's of more 70 years, 30 % beyond 75 years and 14 % at the people of more than 80 years.
