Abstract

Dr.<b>Frederick Elton Ash,</b>chief psychologist of the Veterans Administration area medical office in St. Paul, Minn., has been appointed chief consulting psychologist in the psychology division of the VA Department of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C. He will supervise the psychology programs of the VA's nationwide hospital and outpatient clinic system and the psychology training program which is carried out in collaboration with 61 universities. Ash received his B.A. degree from the University of Kansas in 1936, his M.A. degree from Clark University at Worcester, Mass., in 1937, and his Ph.D. degree from the State University of Iowa in 1941. Dr.<b>Victor J. Mintek</b>has been appointed medical director of River Edge Hospital, a new mental health hospital now being built in Forest Park, Illinois.
