Abstract
In today’s business environment, where Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) efforts are more prominent than ever, organizational leaders must be equipped to address complex interpersonal issues. In this exercise, we present an experiential exercise that provides a framework for addressing complex interpersonal issues in the workplace. The exercise utilizes some of the tenets of testimonio, a theory grounded in Latin American cultural and literary studies to guide the discussion of mini-cases. This exercise guides students through the understanding of interpersonal workplace scenarios, taking into account the experiences of employees from both social and legal perspectives, and developing multiple solutions while anticipating the consequences of those solutions. This exercise was developed with in-person graduate or undergraduate classes in mind.
