Abstract

In this paper, both a dual digital watermarking algorithm and some rules of copyright protection are proposed. First, paper proposes a dual watermarking algorithm for digital right management based on discrete cosine transform. One watermark that belongs to the copyright owner is embedded in the low and middle frequency DCT coefficients of the original image. And the second watermark belongs to the customer is embedded in the DC coefficients. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of our algorithm. After embedding, the two watermarks can protect the digital media and trace the piracy source based on the proposed scheme. The scheme can work throughout the whole life cycle of the digital media.
