Abstract
Research into the cognitive aspects of human information processing sometimes seems remote from the world of the software application designer. This paper describes one aspect of the detailed design of A CAD (Computer Aided Design) system and discusses the application of research findings relating to cognitive representation of objects in 3-D space.
