Abstract

Because of related patents had relaxed and gradually parity of equipment prices, promote related technologies and applications spring up. Hailed by ‘The Economist’ as catalyst of ‘the third industrial revolution’, 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, looks set to have a significant impact on manufacturing in the near future, with the steam and electric power technology par. Base on these reasons, this paper proposed that apply 3D printing technique to reconstruct cultural artifacts, and take Erren River, that near to Chang Jung Christian University, cultural artifacts reconstruction as an example. In this paper, we proposed two major themes: (1) wreckage reconstruction and (2) cultural artifacts reconstruction. And In the cultural artifacts reconstruction themes, it contains (a) ceramic ring reconstruction and (b) pottery vessels reconstruction two sub-theme based on existing cultural artifacts of Erren River.
