Abstract

The main theme of the Program is the comprehensive simulation, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation of the energy performance of whole buildings, with the emphasis on nonresidential buildings. Many of the projects involve developing and applying the types of comprehensive computer models that enable integrated analyses of heating, cooling, and daylighting system performance. A further activity involves research on absorption heat pumps for solar cooling and gas-driven applications, and analysis of the performance and economics of solar cooling systems. 36 refs., 6 figs., 2 tabs.
