Abstract

Objective To explore the feasibility and the value of the intraoperative contrast -enhanced ultrasound in brain malignant glioma.Methods 40 cases with malignant glioma were performed and localized by intraoperative contrast- enhanced ultrasound and the contrast enhanced was observed and the resection degree of tumor was evalued.Results All tumors were hyperechoic on B - Mode scans,different tumors had their representative ultrasound findings.After injection of contrast agent all tumors displayed contrast enhancement in different degree and the border were clearer.Conclusions lntraoperative contrast -enhanced ultrasound is very useful to determine the border of the tumors and the degree of the resection,improve the accuracy degree of the resection and the precision of the operation.
