Abstract
Bimetallic Pt-Co/η-Al2O3/FeCrAl wire mesh composite catalyst was prepared via decomposition of double complex salt [Pt(NH3)4][Co(C2O4)2(H2O)2]·2H2O nanoparticles inside the pores of η-Al2O3 coating and tested in total and preferential CO oxidation. The catalyst exhibited sufficient activity and moderate selectivity towards CO oxidation in the presence of excess of hydrogen. Characterization by X-Ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy techniques of the catalyst after tests revealed no damages of catalytic coating and still high dispersion of metallic particles that proves high stability of the catalyst under the used experimental conditions.
