Abstract
Anatomic knowledge in ophthalmology is an exciting, ever-expanding field. Applied human anatomy can take several forms: an anatomic study can be punctuated by examples from a normal or abnormal clinical state; an abnormal clinical state can prompt a known anatomic or pathophysiologic explanation; and either a normal or an abnormal clinical state can prompt an anatomic study to understand it better.
