Abstract

This chapter is devoted to present some results concerning both the theory of nonlinear integral equations in some Banach spaces and a few existence results concerning infinite systems of integral equations in some sequence spaces. More precisely, we will consider certain results concerning the solvability of a quadratic integral equation of Volterra type and an integral of Volterra–Stieltjes type. In our considerations we will apply some measures of noncompactness described in Chap. 5. We investigate also the solvability of infinite systems of integral equations of both types indicated above.
