Abstract

Geometric variational problems are of one of the most important parts of applications of infinite dimensional Morse theory. The closed geodesic problem, the minimal surface and the constant mean curvature problems, the harmonic map equation, the Yamabe problem and the Yang-Mills equation are not only interesting in themselves, but also for motivations in the development of infinite dimensional Morse theory.KeywordsHeat FlowMinimal SurfaceHomotopy ClassCritical Point TheoryYamabe ProblemThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
