Abstract

The Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst is sponsoring a short course consisting of lectures and workshops on the development and use of computer‐assisted models for the prediction and control of urban storm water quantity and quality. The course will be held August 19–23, 1974, at the university.Special emphasis will be given to the Environmental Protection Agency's Storm Water Management model. Introductory topics will include rainfall runoff relationships, flow routing, storm water quality, and the development, description, and use of storm water models. Case studies illustrating solutions to combined sewer overflow and storm water discharge problems will be presented.
