Abstract

Physically adsorbed polymer coated capillaries are used to enhance separations in capillary electrophoresis (CE) by preventing adsorption of species to the fused silica surfaces and/or by modifying the electro‐osmotic flow (EOF) in the capillaries. In this review, the application of the physically adsorbed coating in CZE, MEKC, NACE, CGE, chiral CE, and CIEF is explored. Emphasis is given to the more recent developments in the field.
