Abstract

The Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) is a standard development tool and middleware for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) of large scientific projects. If EPICS exchanges data with different SCADA, the problem need to be solved by a communication specification. We choose Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control Unified Architecture (OPC UA) Client Server mode as the data exchange interface between EPICS and other SCADA. In this paper we use LabVIEW to develop related applications and test them in simulated industrial Ethernet. The test results meet the data exchange requirements between different SCADA, and the method provides an effective solution for the data exchange problems of large scientific projects
