Abstract

AbstractNowadays, the application of glass nanopipettes in electrochemical analysis has attracted a lot of attention with the increasing demand for sensitive analysis and diagnostic tools for cellular biomolecules. The ultrasmall nanopipettes are becoming a bridge between the macro‐ and nanoworlds as they can transport very small volumes of liquids and materials as well as acting as electrochemical biosensors. In this minireview, we discuss the fabrication and characterization of nanopipettes and introduce our recent studies using nanopipettes for cell electroanalysis. The future application of nanopipettes has also been discussed.
