Abstract

In this chapter on applications of HPLC, the division into pharmaceuticals, biochemicals, food chemicals and industrial chemicals is somewhat arbitrary, with the result that there are examples where the chemical which has been analysed could be placed in two or three sections, e.g. vitamins could be included under biochemicals, pharmaceuticals or food chemicals. The industrial chemicals section includes the products of both the heavy chemical industry and the fine chemical industry.
