Applications of electrochemical biosensors for glucose detection

Abstract

Glucose detection with an electrochemical biosensor was mentioned in this article, including the general background, basic principle and application. For the applications, this article focuses on the discussion of two applications: enzymatic and non-enzymatic electrochemical biosensor. For enzymatic glucose biosensor, it was improved through the three-generation in many years. For the non-enzymatic glucose biosensor, platinum, gold, and alloy composed electrodes were talked about.
