Abstract

The Successful scquencing of whole human genome provides a substantial basis for the research of gene function.DNA chip technology allows the simultaneous detection of thousands of genes,and has developed into a key method for functional genomics.The charaeteristic stepwise progression from normal pigment cells to atypical nevi.then to invasive primary melanoma and finally to cells with aggressive metastatic potential makes human melanoma an ideal tumor model for the studv of human tumorigenesis.Based on the difference in gene expression profile in malignant melanoma,DNA chip technology could be applied to classify malignant melanoma.observe the abnormality in gene expression and chromosome in the development of malignant melanoma,and to detect malignant melanoma-related genes.
