Abstract

Screening applications of a frequency selective surface (FSS) built on a FR4 substrate with two metal periodic patterns are reported. The square shaped unit cell contains a Jerusalem Cross (J cross) metal pattern on one face and a circular ring one on the other. Broadband, X band and WLAN filters are proposed and assessed for TE and TM plane wave incidence up to an angle of 45 ° The operation of the FSS is demonstrated by computer simulation. Two commercial solvers are used to verify the consistency of the results.
