Abstract

Purpose: Research on the development of the demonstrative construction and tangible models of new Hanok style social welfare facilities was conducted to create a foundation for modern succession and convergence technology of Korean traditional architecture with the aim of spreading new Hanok style buildings and securing research and development (R&D) practical technology. The new Hanok style R&D, applied to public buildings, is a new form that combines traditional wooden structures with modern construction methods and can be evaluated as a technology development field with a significant impact on the wooden architecture market. Furthermore, the ripple effect of the new Hanok style public building type model development and demonstration construction project at the national research and development project level is expected to be the driving force for the dominant market. Method: This study discusses the possibility of developing applied technology by analyzing the scope of the empirical reflection of applied technology and specific examples of three public facilities built based on R&D research on the new Hanok style and Hongseong Children
