Abstract
The article simulates the typical tower grounding resistance using CDEGS. First of all, it compares the difference between the flexible graphite grounding electrode, round steel and manganin, in power frequency grounding performance and impulse grounding performance. The results show that flexible graphite grounding electrode is slightly higher than the round steel in the power frequency grounding resistance. But due to its non-magnetism, weaker skin effect, the impulse grounding resistance is lower than that of the round steel. Thus, flexible graphite grounding electrode has good lightning protection grounding characteristics. Take an application of flexible graphite grounding electrode in typical transmission lines in Foshan demonstration project for example, the practical engineering construction process and technology of flexible graphite grounding electrode is introduced, providing references for other similar engineering and test.
