Abstract

Idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) is a common glomerular disease in children and adults. Glucocorticoid is the basic drug for INS treatment. Most patients with idiopathic refractory nephrotic syndrome (IRNS) need to use other immunosuppressants or cytotoxic drugs on the basis of glucocorticoids. In recent years, some scholars have used rituximab (RTX) to treat IRNS and achieved good results. This article reviewed the pathogenesis of IRNS and the application of RTX in different pathological types. Key words: Rituximab; Refractory nephrotic syndrome
