Abstract

Upper arm central venous access port refers to the port implanted through the peripheral vein of the upper arm by surgeon and peripherally inserted central catheter nurse cooperation. It can provide a new way for patients requiring long-term infusion therapy but it has not been widely used in China. This article introduces the targeted patients, operation process, maintenance and use, daily life notes, common complications and advantages of arm port, to provide reference for the wide application of arm port.
