Application of X-Ray Microanalyser to Cast Iron “Relation between Few Elements of Nodular Graphite Cast Iron and Nodular Graphite”

Abstract

Nodular graphite cast iron is broadly used and well known as one of the important materials for industrial use because of its excellent mechanical properties. The purposes of this study are; to analyse the changes of segregation of Mg and remarkable spheroidizing harmful elements such as S and Ti, and to examine the relation between nodular graphite and these elements, when the amount of added Mg in the nodular graphite cast iron is changed, by using X-ray microanalyzer.
