Abstract
Virtual reality technology is a computer-generated simulation environment. It is a combination of simulation technology, multimedia technology, sensor technology, computer graphics and other technologies. In electric power enterprises, the application of virtual reality technology has gradually become possible and will play an important role. This paper mainly discusses the application of virtual reality technology in power system operation and maintenance and engineering design, and comprehensively discusses the typical application of virtual reality technology in substation, transmission line, power system simulation training and power system operation. The results show that this technology can provide a powerful decision-making tool for the company’s leadership and management. Provide an accurate and timely command tool for the executive level of the company; Virtual reality technology provides efficient and intelligent operation tools for the company’s operation layer, strengthens the depth, breadth and accuracy of the company’s safety production management, and improves the safety risk management and control capability.
