Abstract

The increasing use of composites in such modern fields as aviation and space technology, shipbuilding, oil and gas industry, etc., determines the importance and relevance of developing effective high-precision methods for long-term forecasting of the defining characteristics of composite materials and structures made of them (residual life, strength, reliability, durability). A study of the promising possibilities of applying modern provisions of the kinetic theory of strength to develop optimal models of durability of composite materials and structures made of them under the influence of extreme environmental factors has been carried out. Based on the application and development of mathematical and computer modelling methods, effective methods for predicting the defining characteristics (residual life, strength) have been developed.
