Abstract
It has been discussed the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for engineering surveys and other activities at various types of hydraulic structures. Author has highlighted the use of unmanned aircraft and surface-underwater cooperative complexes for the inspection of hydroelectric power plants and damps. There are various types of cracks in hydroelectric power plants which has described in this paper. It has been determined the current trends in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles for examining the nature of cracks in hydraulic structures. There are the possibilities for inspection with unmanned aerial vehicles of reclamation and irrigation pumping stations and other elements of their structures.
