Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome differentiation and collateral-dredging therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods Totally 80 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into the routine nursing group (n=40) and the TCM nursing group (n=40). Patients in the TCM nursing group received syndrome differentiation of TCM nursing and collateral-dredging therapy on the basis of routine nursing, and when the treatment completed, the clinical efficacy and satisfaction were analyzed by statistical method. Results Compared with routine nursing group, the clinical symptoms and physical signs of patients in TCM nursing group were significantly improved; the satisfaction was high and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The clinical effect of TCM syndrome differentiation and collateral-dredging therapy is significant, and the satisfaction of patients is high.
