Abstract
Falls are a common complaint of elderly emergency department patients- one out of three adults aged 65 and older will suffer a fall each year. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the non-age related components of the New Orleans Head computed tomography (CT) rules are sufficient for detecting clinically significant intracranial injuries in this population.
