Abstract

The high-density resistivity method is an array exploration method, which is based on the difference of the electrical conductivity of rock, soil and water to study the distribution of conduction current in the ground under the action of artificially applied stable current field. Based on the high-density resistivity method, it is used in hidden trouble exploration of embankments and dams, combining the relevant geological conditions and structural characteristics of the dam body, the distribution range, the defect feature and the compactness of the dam body are found out. The high-density resistivity method would provide the reference for the treatment of the sewage dam seepage and safety evaluation.
