Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of the flipped classroom in Gastroesophageal reflux disease for clinical medical students. Methods 120 students of five-year clinical medicine program from Xinjiang Medical University were involed and randomly divided into two groups,each group with 60 students. One group received the flipped classroom teaching (the experimental group), and the other group used the traditional classroom teaching (the control group). We evaluated the teaching effects in the two groups by questionnaire and case analysis test after the experiment. Results Flipped classroom teaching group expressed higher course satisfaction,teacher satisfaction,interest in learning,mastery of the course content and test score compared with the traditional teaching approach (P<0.05). Conclusion Introducing the flipped classroom in Gastroesophageal reflux diseasecan increase students' interest in learning, promote their deep understanding of course content,and improve their academic performance.Therefore, this new teaching mode is worth popularizing.
