Abstract
At the 1998 conference, we proposed use of the DYA (differential yielding ability) method to compare the yielding ability of wheat cultivars. In this paper we review the method: its models and assumptions, and then show computation of sample statistics. An example will exhibit the output from performance trial yields when the method is applied in one of the nine ecogeographic areas of fall-planted wheat in the Midwest.
