Abstract

The application of the comparator method in NAA to fission neutron reactions enables the calibration of a number additional elements and the correction of interfering reactions. The reaction 51Fe(n, γ)54Mn is used for monitoring the fast neutron flux. The influence of the alteration of the fast neutron spectrum will be corrected by flux factors, which are necessary for reactions with neutron energies above 8 MeV.
