Abstract

Global warming has led to a significant increase in the frequency and scale of natural emergencies in recent decades. According to experts, due to the continued growth of the Earth’s population and the growth of production aimed at ensuring life, our planet will warm up faster than scientists predicted 20-30 years ago. The purpose of the article is to assess the use of key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data in organizing the work of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent emergencies caused by global climate change. Conclusions. The use of key technologies in forecasting adverse natural phenomena allows not only to increase the efficiency of the use of forces and means used to eliminate the consequences of adverse natural phenomena, but also to significantly reduce the number of potential victims and the extent of possible damage to the economy through preventive preparatory measures to counteract the disaster. In the face of a common global threat, unite the efforts and resources of countries to develop global security mechanisms adequate to the impending threats and challenges.
