Abstract

The problem of this research is to test the effectiveness of training to set goals in order to strengthen the purpose of life for children in conflict with the law after leaving the orphanage. This research is a field experiment research with the design used is a type of one group pre-test post-test design. Subjects in the study amounted to 30 people aged around 10-18 years. In this study, the research subjects were given intervention by providing goal setting training which was carried out in four meetings. The results showed that there were significant differences in results before and after the intervention. This indicates that the goal setting training provided can significantly improve the ability of children in conflict with the law in planning clear life goals, facing challenges, being able to set time and being committed to achieving goals.
