Abstract

The method of measuring the technical rate of ozone synthesis process, and the manner of utilizing the process rate for determining the boundary ozone contents in the reacting system has been presented. On the basis of macroscopic analysis of the process the reason causing the obtaining of the ozone concentration lower than that theoretically possible, has been pointed out. It is shown that an increase in temperature in the discharge gap does not inhibit the ozone-forming rate. The decrease in ozone concentration observed is a result of ozone intensive decomposition. However, under typical conditions of the process, the ozone decomposition is a result of the temperature in the microdischarge channels and not that of the gas or the cooling liquid.
