Abstract

The study was on Application of Sustainable Fashion Guide on Apparel Choice for Family Living among Female Staff in University of Uyo. Three specific objectives and three research questions were raised to guide the study. The research design was survey design. Population of the study was all the female staff in the eight faculties in University of Uyo totaling three thousand eight hundred and fifty (3850). The sample size was three hundred and eighty-five (385). Female academic staff were 221 and non-academic were 164. Stratified random sampling technique was employed. Structured questionnaire named Application of Sustainable Fashion Guide on Apparel Choice by Female Staff (ASFGACFS) was used. The reliability was established using Person Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The reliability was 0.88. Descriptive statistics was used to analysis the data. The findings revealed among others that both female academic staff and female non-academic staff apply sustainable fashion guide on adult apparel choice in high extent. It was therefore concluded that both target groups apply sustainable fashion guide on apparel choice. It is therefore recommended among others that more awareness should be made on the importance of applying sustainable fashion guide on apparel choice.
