Abstract

AbstractThis paper reviews the field efficacy of Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita against slugs in different crops (Cymbidium, butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. capitata), iceberg lettuce (Lactuca sativa), cabbages (Brassica oleracea var. capitata), Brussels sprouts (Brassica oleracea var. gemmifera), green asparagus (Asparagus officinalis), rape (Brassica napus var. oleifera), wheat (Triticum aestivum) and sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera)) and presents some previously unpublished experimental data. Various application strategies and environmental conditions needed for success in pest control are also reviewed.
