Abstract

Independent learning ability can lay a foundation for students' future career development and professional competitiveness. Independent Learning strategies are, based on the multimedia CAI environment, to get the utmost out of multimedia, motivate learners' interest, develop self-management and train information handling capacity so as to achieve the teaching efficiency. As a popular language teaching tool and auxiliary language learning method, multimedia equipment is conducive to the cultivation of students' independent English learning ability and language application ability. Multimedia equipment can combine students' independent learning with constructivism teaching to the greatest extent. The traditional language teaching model is teacher-centered and focuses on teachers' teaching, teaching, blackboard writing and other ways to transfer knowledge to achieve the desired learning effect. Teachers are the main figures controlling the whole process, while learners can only passively accept knowledge. With the introduction of multimedia equipment in teaching, not only teachers can make use of multimedia, It provides the latest information and first-hand learning resources for English learners, but also cultivates learners' independent learning ability in a multimedia environment, maximizes their enthusiasm and initiative, and gradually forms a new model as the main body. With the change of the roles between teachers and learners, new questions are raised, such as what ways should learners take to study autonomously and how should teachers use multimedia techniques. This paper focus on efficient use of computer science, gives the application strategies of self-independent learning in the educational field, and summarizes the standpoints of self-independent learning strategies based on multimedia CAI environment and the actual construction process and conclusions.
