Abstract

In this research paper, the input parameters of a solar pump have been optimized with the help of the Response Surface Methodology tool for improving the overall performance of the solar pump. In this study, an experimental setup of a solar pump has been installed in FET MJP Rohilkhand University Bareilly at location 28.36°N, 79.43°E. Based on experimental findings, the all-output parameters have been optimized on the basis of two input parameters, namely tilt angle and surface azimuth angle. The optimized solar pump input parameter setting on which solar pump performance was maximum 18.2291° TA and 6.2568 SA at which levelized cost of electricity 0.0401 $/kWh, power out by solar panels 3650.5879 W, solar flux 874.97 W/m2, the exegetic efficiency 14.64%, the overall efficiency 11.3460%, and the panel efficiency 16.27%.
