Abstract
In the aspect of an individual approach to reliability and risk assessment, the resource safety index method is considered. Its use for large structures and complex systems gives a less conservative estimate of the guaranteed lifetime. The amalgamation rules of individual indicators of reliability and safety of separate elements of the system are offered. The efficiency of the methods is demonstrated on the example of the evaluation of the blast furnace casing technical condition.
