Abstract

Rescue simulation and training system provides a daily training environment for rescue workers by simulating various disaster scenarios. Traditional rescue simulation and training system includes video monitoring, gas explosion simulation, fire simulation and other functions, but lack of accurate location monitoring function, so it cannot provide effective location data for managers to summary and analyze after each training session. To solve this problem, a position monitoring subsystem is introduced based on ultra-wide band (UWB) location technology and time difference of arrival (TDOA) algorithm, it can monitor the coordinate position of the trainer in real time and perform the trajectory playback based on historical data after each training. The subsystem has been built in a simulated coal mine tunnel in China's Shaanxi Province and the experiment results show that positioning accuracy of this subsystem reaches 30 centimeters grade. Simulation experiment shows that positioning trajectory based on UWB technology is closer to the actual route than Zigbee technology.
