Abstract

Human activities have caused many problems, among which the main one is the pollution of the urban environment, destroying the environment and adversely affecting people's health. In order to mitigate the damage of pollution to the urban environment, it is necessary and vital to monitor the urban environment. Remote sensing monitoring technology is a convenient, fast and efficient method compared with traditional environmental pollution monitoring methods such as sensor networks, and water and soil sampling. This study mainly discusses the application of remote sensing technology in urban air, water and land pollution monitoring, and introduces the monitoring principles and main technologies. For urban atmospheric monitoring, meteorological indicators such as haze, particulate matter, and visibility are usually monitored through the correlation between data based on the remote sensing parameter of AOD. For urban water pollution monitoring, remote sensing satellite data is usually combined with spectrometer, laboratory water sample analysis data to invert urban water quality parameters. For urban soil pollution monitoring, remote sensing mainly focuses on monitoring soil heavy metals, primarily based on empirical and semi-empirical methods.
