Abstract
The scientific article is devoted to the urgent problem of conservation of natural resources and ecosystems through the effective use of information technologies, especially methods of remote sensing of the Earth. Examples of the use of Landsat 8, Sentinel-2 and Resurs-P satellite systems for monitoring the state of nature, including the detection and analysis of wildfires, are given. Attention is also paid to the use of vegetation indices, such as the normalized vegetation index, to assess the consequences of fires in nature reserves.
