Abstract

Objective To investigate the application of prenatal ultrasound in the diagnosis of fetal urinary system deformity. Methods A total of 5480 pregnant women diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound were selected, among them, 56 pregnant women were diagnosed as fetal urinary system abnormalities, and the image data of prenatal ultrasound were analyzed retrospectively. Results The incidence of fetal urinary malformation was 10.22%(56/5480), the hydronephrosis was 50.00% (28/56), multicystic renal dysplasia was 8.93% (5/56), adult polycystic kidney was 5.36% (3/56), horseshoe kidney was 3.57% (2/56), renal agenesis was 7.14% (4/56), ectopic kidney was 5.36% (3/56), repeat kidney was 3.57% (2/56), urinary tract and bladder malformation was 16.07% (9/56). One case of hydronephrosis was misdiagnosed. The accuracy of diagnosis was 98.21% (55/56). Conclusions Prenatal ultrasound can effectively diagnose fetal urinary system malformation. It is a simple and inexpensive diagnostic method. It is a good diagnostic and screening method in clinics. Key words: Prenatal diagnosis; Ultrasound; Urinary system; Abnormality
