Abstract

A detailed account is presented of analytical work carried out to determine the parameters of power system stabilizers for a large generating station. Small-signal and transient stability studies are reported which demonstrate the effectiveness of the stabilizers in enhancing the stability of interarea as well as local plant models of oscillation. The performances of two alternative schemes, one with and the other without no transient exciter gain reduction, are investigated.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
