Abstract

Objective To establish a scheme for attitude adjustment of pediatric nurses based on positive psychology theory and to evaluate its effects. Methods Attitude adjustment scheme of pediatric nurses was established based on positive psychology theory.Totally 142 pediatric nurses in our hospital were selected as the research objects and were divided into the observation group and the control group.The control group was intervened with normal attitude adjustment scheme of our hospital, while the observation group was intervened with attitude adjustment scheme of pediatric nurses designed on the basis of positive psychology theory in addition to that of the control group.Effects of the intervention of the two groups were evaluated with General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES), Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI-GS, 2002, Li Chaoping) and Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS, Pavot&Diener, 1993). Results The differences of comparision of scores of the two groups before and after the intervention were statistically different (P<0.05) , while the scores of the observation group were better than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions Attitude adjustment plan of pediatric nurses based on positive psychology theory can improve self-efficacy of pediatric nurses, reduce their job burnout and improve their satisfaction of life, which is worth of popularization and application.
